horror vacui designwerks was founded by Molli Amara Simon in 1995 originally as a business to design and build props for the UPN television series LEGEND. Infatuated with the latin art history term in AP Art History in high school, Molli Amara decided that "fear of empty space" (the definition of horror vacui, used to describe celtic interlacing and other illustrative text) was an apt description of why things were done in the world.
